生き甲斐 • Ikigai

The beginning of Grupo Ikigai with a traditional Japanese proposal in Lomas de Chapultepec.

Our History

An innovative gastronomic proposal of traditional Japanese food.

With an avant-garde vision, Ikigai presents Japanese gastronomy while elevating the senses to a maximum state of fascination, between the delight and quality of its menu and the excellent atmosphere in the heart of Lomas de Chapultepec, CDMX.

Ikigai's proposal focuses on traditional Japanese food, using extraordinary national products, Japanese and from other parts of the world such as New Zealand, Chile, the United States and Alaska, to name a few. Of the gastronomic elements we can highlight the blue fin tuna (chu-toro / toro / akami), the king salmon, the Japanese sea urchin (uni) and the salmon roe (ikura), ideal to delight any palate..

Our Menu

The menu proposed by Executive Chef Nacho Carmona is a combination of concepts such as Nigiris, Makis, Tempuras, traditional soups and Sashimis. Among the specialties is the "Maki Ikigai", rib eye hibashi with shishito tempura, "Rib Eye Gyozas" and the Ikura in Lemon. Another of the great surprises brought to excellence is the hedgehog (uni), one of the star ingredients of Umai, which is why several of its dishes were created with the inspiration of its complex flavor.
